What is the best cart for hauling gear to the beach?

The Compass Cart System is ideal for beach trips that require hauling chairs, coolers, umbrellas, and supplies from the parking area to the sand. Load everything into the cart at home, slide it onto your truck or SUV hitch, drive to the beach, and roll your entire setup directly to your spot in one trip — no multiple carries from the car. The powder-coated aluminum construction resists the corrosion and salt exposure common in beach environments.

Can the Compass Cart be used on sand?

Yes. The Compass Cart is built for outdoor terrain including packed sand and beach access paths. Its sturdy aluminum frame handles the resistance of sandy surfaces without flexing. For soft or deep sand, the optional 20-inch foam-filled aluminum mag rim wheels provide wider footprint and improved rollability compared to standard wheels, making it easier to push a loaded cart across the beach.

Is the Compass Cart resistant to salt air and beach conditions?

Yes. The Compass Cart is constructed from powder-coated aluminum, which is specifically chosen for its corrosion resistance in wet, humid, and salt-air environments. Unlike steel carts that rust with beach exposure, the aluminum frame and powder-coat finish hold up to repeated beach use. Rinse the cart with fresh water after beach sessions to maximize its longevity.

How much beach gear can the Compass Cart carry?

The Compass Cart's open flat-bed design accommodates a full day's worth of beach gear — folding chairs, a large cooler, umbrella, towels, toys, and bags — all in one load. Stake pockets let you strap down tall or oversized items to prevent shifting during transport from the parking area to the beach. For large families or group beach days, the cart eliminates the multiple-trip problem entirely.

How does the Compass Cart attach to my vehicle for beach trips?

The Compass Rack mounts to any standard 2-inch trailer hitch receiver on your truck or SUV. Load all your beach gear into the cart at home, slide the loaded cart onto the rack, and drive to the beach — your gear travels fully loaded and organized. At the beach parking area, slide the cart off the rack and roll everything to your spot. No unpacking and repacking at the car.

What makes the Compass Cart better than a standard beach cart?

A standard beach cart requires you to load it from scratch in the parking lot after unloading your vehicle. The Compass Cart System eliminates that step — you fill it once at home, transport it fully loaded on your hitch, and roll it directly to your beach spot. It also serves as a versatile everyday utility cart for hunting, fishing, camping, and more, making it a far more useful investment than a single-purpose beach cart.
