What is the best gear cart for camping?

The best camping gear cart is one that minimizes setup effort at the campsite. The Compass Cart System lets you pack your tent, sleeping bags, cook kit, and supplies into the cart before you leave home. At the campsite, you slide the cart off your hitch and roll everything to your site in one trip — no multiple hauls from the parking area, no digging through a packed truck bed. It's especially valuable for sites where vehicles can't park directly at the campsite.

How much camping gear can the Compass Cart hold?

The Compass Cart's open flat-bed design accommodates a substantial load of camping gear — tents, sleeping bags, a camp kitchen setup, coolers, chairs, and firewood. The stake pockets let you build up the sides or stack and strap gear vertically, maximizing capacity. For families or groups carrying gear for multiple campers, the cart's capacity and the ability to transport it fully loaded to the campsite is a significant time and effort saver.

Can the Compass Cart be used for tailgating?

Yes. The Compass Cart System is an excellent tailgating solution. Pack your grill, food, chairs, and beverages into the cart before you leave, slide it onto your hitch, drive to the stadium or event, and have your entire tailgate setup staged and ready the moment you park. The folding handle makes the cart compact for storage between events.

Does the Compass Cart work on gravel or grass campsite terrain?

Yes. The Compass Cart is designed for off-road and outdoor terrain, including gravel, grass, packed dirt, and uneven ground common at campgrounds and overlanding sites. Its aluminum frame construction provides the rigidity needed to push heavy loads over imperfect terrain without flexing or tipping.
